Born in 1941 and married to my wife Geraldine for 38 years we have a son & a daughter & 3 grand children. I am a founder member of the Association of Woodturners of Great Britain and on the professional register of Worshipful Company of Turners .

I earn my living working from my home workshop as an architectural woodturning specialist, copying old wooden architectural features mainly staircase parts such as newel posts, balusters and newel caps, for builders, joinery contractors and architects as well as private property owners.

I also make many articles of woodware , either made to order or just to create a use for my surplus timber, selling these worldwide through this website and the internet for many years. If you are interested in that extra unique item then please do not hesitate to contact me .

Author of four Books on woodturning which are each written and illustrated with over 200 colour photographs taken uniquely from the wood turner's perspective. Each book presents a detailed text of all the wood turning tools, safety tips and techniques for beginners to craft the projects
